On March 7-8, 2009 at the Riverway Sports Park in Visalia, CA, the South Valley Chivas Academy is proud to announce that they will be hosting USC women soccer head coach Ali Khosroshahin for a two day soccer clinic.
One of the best women college coaches in the NCAA Division I Women Soccer, in 2007, coach Ali Khosroshahin coached the Trojan women soccer team to a Division I NCAA National Title in his first season at the University of Southern California. That same year he was named National Coach of the Year and West Region Coach of the Year. |
Details of Soccer Clinic with Ali Khosroshahin
Ages: Boys and Girls ages 9-18.
Location: Riverway Sports Park, 3611 N. Dinuba Hwy, Visalia, CA.
Cost: $65.00 includes clinic (Register before March 2, 2009 and receive a free soccer ball)

1-3pm – Soccer Session
3-4pm – Q & A Session (discussion of college soccer, recruiting, scholarships, etc)
Sunday, March 8, 2009
10-12pm – Soccer Session

South Valley Chivas Academy members Oscar Torres (94), Cornelio Garcia (93), Ismael Antonio Perez (92) and Alexis Hernandez (92) will be on tryout for fuerza basica teams of a professional team in Mexico City during the week of March 2-6, 2009. Members Jorge Carreon (96) and Victor Lopez (96) were also invited to the tryouts but unforunately weren’t able to obtain the required documentation to travel to Mexico.
Oscar Torres and Cornelio Garcia are member of our academy training site in Delano. They both are from Earlimart, CA and play for our U14 team .
Ismael Perez plays for our U17 and U18 team and is son of Ismael and Antonia Perez of Terra Bella, CA. Ismael is currently a junior at Porterville High School in Porterville, Ca.
Alexis Hernandez is from Porterville, Ca and plays both for our U17 and U18 team. Alexis is coming off a foot fracture which sidelined him for a couple of months. Last summer he attended a US U17 Mens National team camp and participated with the U17 Mexican Men National team in an international tournament which was held in Acapulco, Mexico.

The South Valley Chivas G97 are Central California Invitational tournament champions. The tournament was hosted by the California Odyssey soccer club and was held in Clovis, Ca on the weekend of Dec. 12-13, 2009.
The SV Chivas G97 team beat a couple of Cal North ranked teams convincingly during tournament play. For more information of tournament scores please visit here or visit the teams site here.

The South Valley Chivas G97 team has been accepted to play in the prestigious Surf Cup on Thanksgiving weekend 2009.

Mexican Women National Team coach, Leonardo Cuellar, will be visiting our academy on Satruday, November 8, 2008 at the Porterville Sports Complex located at 2701 W Scranton Ave, Porterville, CA. 93257.Profe Leonardo Cuellar will be conducting a soccer clinic exclusively for the South Valley Chivas Academy members and will hold a press conference afterwards with the local press/media and the general public to talk about future projects in colaboration with the South Valley Chivas Academy.
Leonardo Cuellar is the current Mexican National Women Coach, FIFA Instructor, ex-National World Cup Player for Mexico at the 1978 World Cup in Argentina, ex-PUMA UNAM player, and ex-San Diego Socker and ex-San Jose Earthquake of the defunct North American Soccer League.
